My dorky, screwball mind just joked to itself that Thing might be an ancestor of Star Trek's Harry Mudd. Β π
The guy was an unrepentant lech and career criminal who had about as much success resisting such impulses or getting away with his schemes as Angel Martin. Β He was rather expressive with his hands, tended to wear a lot of rings, and that android of his wife Stella always got powered down mid-scold so it was left saying "You good-for-nothing.... thing.... thiiing.... thiiiiiiiiiiiing.......*"
