I understand that the 'first' Danny Cassidy had a list of skill specialties a little disproportionate to his supposed life-experience... it's just a little disappointing that this one didn't design and build a "Blue Devil suit" before getting turned into a devil...

Meh. I personally never enjoyed the Blue Devil suit concept. I prefer making her an actual infernal being, it ties nicely well into the Hell on Earth storyline of this setting.
I get why people like the suit. I respect that, but I just never liked that aspect of the character.

Not counting his first wife, Angela, he had flings with Catherine Cobert, Nightshade, Starshine, Maxima, and of course got into it with supervillain Plastique. Are you confusing perhaps confusing Captain Atom for Dr. Manhattan?

I know that Maxima chased after him for a bit, and I remember a preview in PREVIEW catalog mentioned Plastique and CA at some point but I never checked into it. Β And I read JLE for a while so I know about Catherine and at least one of the Crimson Fox twins were interested in him.
