So keeping Hell on Earth in mind for obvious reasons, did Azazel use Gozer as pawn for his own plans?

So Gozer didn't just bugger off like in film, they are still making plans to conquer Earth and get even with four champions. That poor fool has no idea how long the wait list is for that agenda.
Going off Power Rangers, which I am a fan of, this never pays off.

Did we even know Gozer was permanently dealt with in the film? Β It was defeated, but there was nothing to indicate anything more happened than it being tossed back out a door to our world, which was then locked.
The threat at hand was dealt with, and the credits rolled as we cheered our heroes. Β But Gozer was a god. Β Evidently a real one too, since it clearly only thought something on the level of a god deserved its courtesy. Β It has patience, time, and power enough to try again someday.

An almost impossible promise to truly honor. Β Innately being impervious to everything isn't the sort of thing you can avoid 'use' of unless your enemy never lands a blow that would affect someone else.

So did Gozer serve Trigon, or another demon with the title Koza'Rai, I was a little confused by that. It would be neat though if they were the child of Trigon, making Gozer Raven's half-sibling!

Gozer is way older than Trigon... Trigon's a baby when it comes to the lifespan of most demons and cosmic beings. A powerful baby, but a baby still.

It's those details like that make E-27 such an interesting and fun read. You really make everything interconnect with the cosmology and mythology of the DCU... so its not "just" the Ghostbusters existing on the same Earth as John Constantine...
