Emilien Burkshier Ref sheet — Description

Name: Emilien Burkshier

Bio:

His mother moved to Canada from England to start her own restaurant, the Burkshire Bistro. She married a very religious man and they had their only son, Emilien.

Growing up, Emilien was very social, and very effeminate. He liked singing and dancing. His father disapproved, thinking he was gay, but his mother accepted him. She signed him

up for dance classes and Emilien loved it. He discovered his favorite type of dance was Break dancing so he focused more on that. His father didn't want Emilien to learn how to sing,

so he became a rapper instead. Emilien developed a passion for rap and started to listen to a lot of hip hop and RnB.

At school, Emilien was just a normal kid. He would get bullied from being ginger, British and girly, but he was your ordinary kid either way. At the age of 13, his mother became very sick. The restaurant was going under and she was unable to work. Emilien was pulled out of school to be put into 'home schooling', but really this was a ploy by his father to put Emilien to work. His education was quickly dismissed and Emilien now spends all his time working at the restaurant, trying to help his family anyway he can. His father became alcoholic due to the stress of taking care of his wife, so Emilien does most of the work in the restaurant. They do have other workers, but it's a family chain, and it's understaffed.

Emilien is frustrated with life now because of his situation. He knows he won't be able to get a good job with out a high school diploma but he doesn't have the time to try to get tutoring, or the money. To vent out his frustrations, Emilien continues to dance and rap in his free time. With the few friends he has left, at night they go and graffities the whole town.

Personality:

Due to being pulled out of school and forced to work, Emilien's social skills are stunt. He's shy and awkward in non work settings. He's not used to being outside of the customer service environment.

He is also a very anxious workaholic. He freaks out if he can't complete a task in time, and feels guilty for taking breaks. He loves his family unconditionally and is used to living under such hard rules, he mostly follows them. When his dad isn't around though, he acts more free and even rebells. Emi is family kind person but he's uneducated and stuck in a very narrow situation so he's oblivious to a to of things, naive and ignorant in a child like way. He's curious and eager to learn though. He gets frustrated easily when people pester him.

At work, he's very straight forward, no nonsense, and efficient.

But when he's outside, with his friends or on stage- 'the cockney prince' is free to do whatever he wants. He's more rowdy and energetic but he has stage fright so preforming in front of a big audience makes him nervous.

Hobbies:

Dancing, rapping, and reading way to many books about fairy tales and fantasy creatures.

He likes horses.

Additional info/gags:

- Emilien faints when in stressful situations or when over stimulated.

- Is a major neat freak.

- Has a sock fetish.

- Really desperate for a girlfriend BUT he's not emotionally mature enough to be in a relationship yet.

- Is skinny because he doesn't eat much all day until it's night, when he binges. He's a stress eater.

- Is very strong.
