No Touchy — Description
Show: Imperial Winter Dressage 2022
Featuring: Mikayla Turner , Yaroslav , and abosz007 vet assistant Kyara Caeritos

This was an important event. Yaro could tell by the mere fact that this somewhat familiar, but temporary stable was full of hustle and bustle. The bay stallion was on edge, leaning more and more into his rider as she cleaned the tack and did the final preparations for the fountain class. The seven year old stallion wasn't normally so dependent of his rider, but there were exceptional moments- and his first 'real' show outside of Tazzmaran stables was one of them. By the time he was groomed, his mane had been braided, and the glammed out bridle had been put on, the bay stallion had calmed down significantly.

That was...until the vet assistant came around.

It wasn't the assistant's fault, Yaro just did not like being touched by strangers. With pinned ears, and Mikayla at his head, he tolerated the first few moments, allowing her to lift up each leg, roll his joints around and check for any abrasions, or anything of significance. Mikayla trotted him up and down the aisle, and then the stethoscope came out. It wasn't very warm, and he was already annoyed someone new was touching him. He lifted his back right leg and slammed it on the ground. Not enough to hurt himself, but loud and close enough to get his point across. It might've spooked the gal, because the next thing he knew was that she'd backed off a ways, called out, and another stranger was touching him. Rude!

If it weren't for his person standing by calmly, and holding onto the reins he absolutely would've reached over and nipped the stranger crowding his personal bubble. Maybe next time.
