Russell's Store — Description

Bonita Kansas, October 27, 2022.
I have pictures elsewhere in my gallery of the Russell store taken in 2017.
The place seems alien to me now.
Not because of how run down everything has become in the years since Bill passed away.
Not because everyone I knew from around there has passed away.
No, the main reason it felt so alien was the near constant flow of cars on West 175th Street.
Without the traffic, I could stand at the street corner and look around and things wouldn't look or feel all that different from the Kansas I remember. But the Kansas City suburbs, that were once so far off, are now only a quarter section away and will be there soon.
