I WANT THE HOOD ORNAMENT! But that would be stealing, so I will leave it to be stolen by someone less worthy than me.
The Ford Mainline was manufactured from 1952 till 1956.
The glass all seems to be intact as well.

One of my earliest childhood memories is my Dad changing the oil in one of these out in the backyard while I sat on an overturned bucket holding my Daisy BB gun. I was dressed in a pair of shorts hand made from used flour sacks my grandmother had sewn for me by hand. Damn I'm getting old. Nice shot of a graceful old warwagon.

I have one or two of those old flour sacks somewhere around here. I used to use them as pillow cases until my wife decided to use them to clean up something she spilled. Although I seem to remember being told that these were animal feed sacks. I was told it was an advertising gimmick. Folks would be encouraged to buy a certain brand because they could later use the empty sacks to make their own cloths.

Yeah I wore a lot of those clothes made from those old sacks. They were extremely varied in pattern and colorful. I still remember those shorts. olive green background with bright red circles surrounded by a blue outline somewhat like the British emblem on their air force planes. Really loud combination there!

Thanks. It's difficult to get old abandoned car pictures around here. They rust too fast or get covered up by vegetation. Some of the Best shots I've seen have been out west where it's dryer. They last a lot longer out there.

That's what I thought as well. When I was there the neighbors told me that the estate was tied up in court, so everything just sits and rots until that gets cleared up.
