I love the texture of this piece. The image, colors, texture all lend to an amazing feeling from the work.

At first I thought this was a photomanipulation. The background pattern seems to continue regardless of the outline of the head, especially around the back of the neck, almost like the head was photoshopped in with partial transparency. Also, the texture of the skin looks photographically natural, except on the neutral tone area of the face, which shows the paint texture. The inconsistency of technique is very eye-catching and interesting, and it must look really cool in person.
