Gorosaurus — Description

Gorosaurus first appeared in the film King Kong Escapes (1967), directed by Ishirō Honda for Toho Co., Ltd. Originally a carnivorous dinosaur defeated and killed by King Kong, Gorosaurus, or another of its species, returned inDestroy All Monsters the following year, also directed by Honda. In this film the minds of the world’s monsters are taken over by aliens and ordered to attack Earth’s major cities. Gorosaurus attacks Paris, but is later freed from alien control and participates in defending Earth from the alien’s monster, King Ghidorah. It then presumably lives out the rest of its life in peace on Monster Island, a kind of kaiju preserve.
