True Rittwolf14 — Description

It's been 5 years since I updated my fursona Ritt. They have been part of me for almost 10 years now. I joined the community when I was about 11 or 12 years old maybe younger, because I loved animal characters more than human ones. I didn't make Ritt until I was 14 years old. I always drew Ritt pretty neutral, and never fully realized how much until I got older and understood about being non-binary. They helped me figure that part out. But they were also a way of coping during a hard time in my life. I've even K***ed them a couple of times in vent art, but they always came back to live in the next drawing and kept moving forward, as I did back then and still now. They have been through 4 redesigns through the changes in my life. The first one with a grey, black, and brown traditional wolf fur pattern. The second, a grey and black fur pattern with green hair. The third, a fully green and black splotchy fur pattern. I wasn't sure how I felt about the third one while my life was drastically changing, it felt like it wasn't me anymore, and that I was hiding the true me externally. So I removed the splotchy dye, and now we have the fourth variation. A confident wolf, with a dark steel blue/grey base coat, with a light grey muzzle and neck, with purple and blue streaks to give that pop of whimsey color. The hair is a lighter steal blue to give more extra color while still making feel natural. I'm so happy with how this drawing came out. It's my best one yet. And I'm happy that this feels like the true me inside and out.
