The Unit 0010 — Description
We were all heroes, once. In those innocent days of yesterday.

Alva lets loose a major reveal here, they were all on one side. Until some of them snapped. And then all hell broke loose. Father Hero sounds like the iconic, father-figure, good-guy, stands-for-justice, leader of the good guy side. And now he dresses up like a Nazi and terrorizes the world. Wow, how far has he fallen?

He is also irredeemable at this point. There can be no coming back. Part of why he is who he is as well.

It reminds me of when comic books turn their good guy 'evil' for a while and then use them as a villain. Well, what if there wasn't any coming back for that good guy? No retcons. No reboots. No redemption. No salvation.

And she now has to fight a villain who probably knows her very well, and worked with her as a friend in the past, and now he has sunk to this level. It brings her down as well, so she gets that taint and has to live with it. That makes it even more personal. It is no wonder why Alva has this 'tough girl' jaded side to her, and this explains a lot. She does not like the bad guys one bit, and her connection to Dr. Chase is likely the only thing grounding her at this moment.

Otherwise I could imagine her as a storm of vengeance, tearing through everything and anything until her desire for revenge was satisfied. But that would ruin her and she knows it, so she has to hold the line. And at this point, she is the only one here (we know of) fighting for us, the common folk without powers.

And situations like this are what pushes her closer to that edge. This is good stuff, looming danger, and a tiny needed break from the heavy superhero satire to raise the stakes. Enjoy.
