Description
I haven't done a humorous strip in a long time. This one is intended as a quick update on behind-the-scenes stuff and projects, but you never know where these things go. Sometimes these ramble, sometimes other characters pop in, and they just meander wonderfully as a train of thought and discussion. This is our stereotypical tropical island, I am the photographer/god of this realm, and the gals are the models who work for me and appear in my images. All of this is OOC/not-cannon/legacy universe from anything else going on in my comics.
Be warned, we break the forth wall a lot here between creator and art, and I typically call these series Stranded for some reason (Stranded: Updates this time, which is really lame for a comic title but it takes the pressure off me being serious).
And yes, that is me. And I put myself in these because my ego is that big. Or it is a self-portrait. Or I think it is hilarious.
Or all of the above. Enjoy.

Ah, there's nothing like looking at our creations with a smirk.

True, this was actually a super hard problem I have been working on for a couple months. All of my glamour art and half of my characters were stuck in one program and unable to make the jump to the newer software without losing smooth bending and functional anatomy. They were slightly older models, but they can hold their own against newer figures with skill and some upgrades.
What happened yesterday was a lot of experimentation on how to create a successful figure that blended several required fix packs along with a notoriously tricky anatomical package that I need for glamour art. Success was hard fought, and my older figures can be used in the new program and look just as good.
It also multiplies my cast size by 10 in the new program, as there are always extras and supporting cast that do not need to be on the latest technology - so the technique was a huge money saver.
Plus, my cast has fans, established characters, and they are fun. I could magically give them new bodies and say X is Y! But where is the technical challenge of that? I never throw anything away, and my library and casts to choose from are huge.

Thanks! Someday I will put out tutorials and teaching materials. I did this entire series out of older figures and models I imported from my Poser libraries and converted to look incredible. You don't need to spend a lot of money to tell fun stories or look really good.
I am a huge recycler but proud of it because it shows people who had huge investments they can still play and go picture-to-picture with the new stuff. Reuse is also a huge hobby to me, and it is the mechanical and DIY part of this art that I love.
