No I wouldn't. I don't give the slightest damn about that mismanaged and horrid place anymore. Frankly, I can see how things could be better under their rule. For one, genocide, slavery, and censorship would be a thing of the past. We would return to the land. We would own our stories again. News would just be useful information. Those who take bits and bytes and use them as yokes and whips would be overthrown and deposed. And we would journey through the stars upon magic and dreams - like we once did.
This was the ancient world of magic, once.
If a prime nation falls to chaos and the Elves sweep in to take over...honestly...fuck the rest of the world and what they think. I would lead our kind to join them, infernals would triple their firepower, and I know where to find the dirt on the elites to bend them to knee. It is here in Hell with all their sins, dirty secrets, and human sacrifices.
Honestly, technology, 'social media', and science is utter shit compared to dragons, elves, the fae, infernals, and ...magic.
We lie in wait for the right moment of weakness.
And I wonder if I have somehow found my calling.

I am of the same feeling. I don't know what to think, but if the Elves are planning a war I know the right side to be on. Then again, they always plan for war. But it could be for real this time.
If that happens, I need to be ready. Which means even more consequences for myself. If Satan is weak (or dead) there will be a vacuum of power. It would let me take Hellhold and gain several key alliances, such as the Shadow Order and possibly the Succubi (since they are so fond of my sex cult). Once those factions fall into place others will fall in line. Renounce Lucifer forever and you are in my legions.
And if the rest of Hell knows I have Elves and Mages on my side that will tip the balance further. The Elves' weakness is their limited numbers.
The Infernals, properly led, solve that problem easily.
But do I want to be a king? My problem is, I would trust no one else to do it.

I thank you, Milady. My libido got me into this mess. My nobility got me out of it. When I was young and the others would be playing cowboys, cops and robbers, or other games - I would always gravitate towards the King Arthur or Robin Hood role. Pirates were fun too though I admit, the swashbuckling adventures. Got to love Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland in Captain Blood.
