Description
I love James as a scene-stealing villain, but I also like Alva in this series. She knows the system, lives in it, and knows she is never leaving it. She is tragic yet still heroic in spite of her doomed life. They - her side or other sides - will never let her leave the game. Funny how humanity builds traps for itself like this, where the mazes we build in our minds (or ones that are built for us) can never be escaped. Why does the concept of heroes escaping the system seem so familiar to me? Maybe I will ask around on the island some.
And these panels are pretty - love the morning light and all the skin with the tightly-controlled toon effects. They glow like angels.
