Mastermind 0035 — Description
Wow. You people are making me work for this one. I rolled this back six times to get it just right, late-night cable movie but not porn, and even still this came out hotter than the original. So I had:
* A version where you could not tell where Alva's mouth exactly was, possible ToS issue. Porny.
* A reverse angle version that was really porny with the above problem.
* A super-closeup version I was going to put out, but pulled back because it seemed super porny. And it was super porny.
* A version without Chase's parts carefully covered...thus, porny. Late-night cable standards apply here (even though some would break ToS).
* Two versions with collision issues. Not porny but amateur.
* A second panel I did that (after this) had extra dialog but it dragged this out too long, become overly porny and exhibitionist, so I merged the two panels.

So why? What makes this work as satire is Sparrow's strange expectation that these two aren't somehow people, like of course we are supposed to get to see superheroes have sex because we are the fans, right? That. That is biting social commentary on privacy and respect of personal space, and it balances the sexy nature of this panel nicely. We have real people trying to be intimate, and we have the superhero sides we expect to see everything from. And as I pulled this back with each step that became clearer and clearer to me, more than just a simple and sexy embarrassment joke the original was, and a worthy addition to the series with the messages I want in here.

Sometimes the message of a panel isn't clear until you work at it enough to find it.
