My OC - Meru — Description

Hello again
I think I finally figured out how to blend and shade atleast a little bit

Here is my OC. Her name is Meru. She's a vampire. I made her eyes yellow because I read in Twilight that vampires with yellow eyes only feed on animals. Also, yellow is a sort of neutrality and not what you would expect from a vampire, which you would normally imagine red (aggression). However, I did use colors on the warmer side of the clothes to indicate that she's also fiery.
I thought I did okay on the contrast between colors.
To shading --- I'm going to have to practice that more diligently and understand the light properties and such.
I also tried to understand composition in this picture with the rule of thirds. I'm not sure if I put the concept into practice correctly, but what matters is that I tried to implement into it.
