26. Tameru ~ Electric/Fire (Santamartamys + Mera Mera)

Species: Warmth Pokemon

Ability: Static, Flash Fire

Availability: Uncommon

Location: Desert Dunes, Sunara Oasis

Description: "Tameru convert electricity to heat to survive the desert night. It stores electricity in its fur."

Idea: Red-Crested Tree Rat, electric blanket, tinder and spark plugs

Design/Concept: This one is based on this really elusive rat that was supposedly thought to be extinct until it was discovered again www.hispanicallyspeakingnews.c… . At first this was going to be a mole but meh, I wanted something cozy and warm because of the temperature drop in desert nights. I was thinking electric blanket and it went very well with it. Tameru also has the ability to ignite its fur by creating an electric friction that sparks up and burns. Fortunately, its fur doesn't burn away because the fur is fire proof just like a fire blanket.
