Batcave 03 - Top View — Description

Some of my earliest (and fondest) memories go back to watching the old 1966 Batman TV series with Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, and the rest of the talented and memorable cast. The Batcave was, of course, a central location for all of the action on the show. The massive set was suitably impressive, creating a dramatic and colorful backdrop for Batman and Robin, as they battled the forces of evil and did their best to save Gotham City from the criminal threat of the week.
As I grew up, I got to enjoy the re-runs on a whole different level as I came to understand how the show cleverly operates on two levels, one for kids, and the other for adults.
So it was fun to relive all those memories of action and campy humor as I built this model of the Batcave. On the show, it's hard to ever get a really good view of the Batcave with all of its many details and areas of action. So hopefully this series of images will fill that niche, by providing several clear overview images of the legendary Batcave.
Atomic batteries to power, . . . Turbines to speed, . . . Roger, ready to move out. . .
