finally finished this cuckoo felivian (species created by @OrigamiPelican) oc that ive been ignoring for a while
this is nook, he ~~eats babies~~ ~~roadkill~~ is a woodworker that lives in the woods and tends to be offputting because he thinks it's funny

-he speaks through the bird inside his head so 99% of the time his voice is very muffled and quiet while the other 1% of the time he's screeching at a volume that the average doctor would frown upon
-i realized halfway through typing this description that i made a mistake in the face proportions between the front view and fullbody view
-finding references for this design is how i discovered that cuckoos are actual birds. that cuckoo clocks are based on. i thought they were called that based on the sound they made. yes i was ashamed for not realizing this sooner and yes my friends appropriately made fun of me for this
-despite no eyewitnesses able to prove it, everyone's pretty sure he carries around a harmonica because when you spend time around him you'll occasionally hear a brief harmonica sound for just a split second. some people think they're going crazy, some people think nook himself is crazy. he offers no reply when asked about this.
-when he isn't hunched over a work-in-progress chess piece or knife handle, he's actually very tall and eerily good at standing still. because of this, he sometimes hides in the trees and waits for birds to land on him ~~so he can eat them.~~
