My mother and I am currently caring for three orphaned baby opposums. Thier mother was hit by a car, and most of her young were killed by the impact. Those who survived were left on the pavement in the heat for hours until someone noticed them and brought them to a wildlife rehabilitator. A rehabber more experienced in possums took the infants needing intensive care, and our family took three of the healthier ones. So far, they've been thriving; growing fast, eating well, and of course - being fricken adorable.
