Haha, alright, story time! :>
I wanted to explain Soranos 'dark side' for such a long time now xD soooo here you go!! I wrote a text that covers most things up to a friend, so I will just copy-paste that here-

Soranos dark side, explained:
It's caused by the Magic she uses, since she uses a personified form of dark-magic (her Crystal Magic) it had an effect on her, her dark form is basically her compressed Anger, wrath, sadness, fear, rage etc.. This symbolizes the facette of a Crystal, were it reaches from almost White to almost pitch black. Therefor her Position as a Seraphim is also, The Seraphim of Crystals a.k.a. Life and Death. Reflecting the contrast of Black and White.
So her dark form is not a new form like an alter-ego. it's just other parts of herself she shows
Sometimes she looses control over herself during the usage of the dark mode aswell, which can be compared to a normal humans mental breakdown still, she has some control over herself, until she reaches the breaking point.
On the left is her normal form, usually very nice and caring, yet, when she get's really angry up to the point where she can't take it anymore, the other side simply spills out. She only uses this side to fight, or when things get seriously dangerous.
