Have had this idea for more than a year now, this is the first digital illustration of my own that I make after a few years of silence… ohhh glad to see I can still paint a bit :/

We don't really know, are we individual souls? or are we meant to come back and join the Void as well?

Regardless, we do know that our body is borrowed from the Earth, our bodies are made of complex and highly organized molecules of chemical elements. Water, minerals, carbon... which have been continuously used and recycled by millions of life forms, for millions of years before us, in time, we will give it back, born, gone, and reborn again, the cycle will continue until the end of our sun.
