oh, really I thought that mantises left ants alone. I heard this a long time ago though, something about when mantises are smaller ants kill them that's why they don't hunt ants. But I can't remember.

have you ever caught one before? it's so cool to have one. I had one as a pet, did a lot of research on it for my science class, was able to bring it to school and everything. It was so cool to watch it catch flies (after I would catch them and put them in the Mantis's container.) I even had one that one year it molted and I was able to keep the exoskeleton. (I taped the molted exoskeleton to a piece of cardboard and put it in my scientific journal.) lol crazy aren't I.
