Salaian Overseas army
Far away from the mainland there is an elite force tasked with protecting and expanding the Empire’s borders.
Even though the colonial militia, formed mostly of semiprofessionals, part time volunteers and conscripts is often enough to deal with bandits and other troubles, they will often ask for support, as even a small group of professional soldiers can act as a force multiplier, bringing in a morale boost, better organization, expertise and firepower.
They can often be found going from one place to another, performing surgical strikes and fighting besides the militia or taking over it if the local commander is deemed unfit for the situation.
They may also occasionally assist the Empire’s allies and some neutral groups, if they pay for it.
The vehicle – Tâma-2 APC
Tâma is an armored personnel carrier based on a 6x4 truck chassis. While the mainland army didn’t show much interest for it, its colonial counterpart absolutely adored it. Its heavily slopped armor provided good protection against bullets and splinters and it has a rather decent autonomy for an armored vehicle. Its engine is optimized for using biogas, the easiest to come by fuel in the colonies, but it’s a bit underpowered, so it can be troublesome in rough and steep terrain.
