Padded Cell Problems — Description

This is a thing I’ve been poking at for many years, and finally decided to share. It’s ultimately going to be a comic book page in my other series, The Madhouse. I’ve been feeling pretty crazy lately. But it’s been productive. I hope tomorrow will be a better day.
EDITED TO ADD: It looks like something I posted finally got someone to say something they were feeling. That’s a good thing. But I would like to amend this description to clarify that the words on this piece of artwork are not directed at you the viewer. This is an expression of my own mental illness. I don’t hide my diagnoses from people who look at my art or read my essays and stories. I am a woman living with ASD-1, OSDD-1B, and CPTSD. The voices in my head are all my own, but sometimes they get very loud. Some of the phrases here are things that my brain pukes out to drown out the intrusive thoughts. Other phrases, like “I’m faking” are common amongst those of us with serious dissociative disorders. As much as we’d like to convince ourselves that we are faking, and that we don’t have 15+ distinct personality states, the fact is we’re a system, and each of us are very real. See what I mean? I’ve spent a very long time working on myself to improve my outlook on life. It’s a constant process, and some days are harder than others. Right now, I find myself in a phase of learning where the universe is giving it to me in the ego, very hard with no lube. I’ll get through it like I always do, but in the meantime, there will be pictures to document the progress.
