I agree with PixieBott! She isn’t stealing art, a style isn’t owned by anyone, because anyone can draw in a style. Maybe it’s because your art is similar to GrayPillow whom is a good artist! BUT Pixie has worked hard, I honstely wish I could draw like pixie and gray but I can’t and im a little jealous!! but I’m learning digital! ANYWAY! Pixie your art aspires me all the time! I think your art style is just amazing! Yes some parts may look like grays but in so many other ways it’s your own.I have always loved grays art style and have always wanted mine to look just as good but as you can tell I’m not there yet.🥲 Sence the couple months I have been drawing I realized how hard it is and I admire people who I know have worked very hard on making there style the way they think is the best. It’s not stealing if you have the same style and dreams of wanting to make your art a certain way. I think it’s very rude for people to be accusing you and others to want to have a bit of the same art style, just ignore the bad, life already has enough bad in it so make a good out of it and look at the positive.I personally love the cute style you draw and you should keep it up because it inspires people like me to be like “One day I hope my art will be just as good and cute as there’s!”. So yea, that’s what I think 😅

I personally love your art. Yeah, it's a lot like Graypillow's style, but nobody can claim a style of drawing. Your art is wonderful and different in so many ways then Graypillow. Keep up your amazing work!

I came across this post today without having seen your art before. So I got curious and I have to say, the only thing that might look similar to graypillow's art is the way the eyelashes are drawn in some of your older pics. Anything else I've seen is just a chibi-esque way to draw cats and very good at that.

I don't think it's fair to accuse someone of stealing/appropiating an art style because they happen to draw cats in a round and cute way.

Keep doing your thing, I'd say.

And I also see inspiration in GreyPillow's art but You haven't put her art to this infographic as for the art You reference on

Also, I haven't seen much of Your drawings but I must admit it goes into direction in which people might take You as Gray

I mean, being inspired is okay as long as it's not 1:1 and when compared to Your other drawings, change is very visible

GrayPillow's art is not so generic so it shows when someone takes inspiration from her

But besides, Yes, You are allowed to be inspired by her drawings, but there is difference between reference or being heavily inspired vs just inspiration. There is also term like plagiarism which is negative

I wouldn't mind if someone took inspiration of my drawings as long as it's not copying them. I wouldn't mind taking inspiration of my way of drawing lineart or shading or eyes

I have seen people accuse other for copying their art just because they got inspired by their lineart, like, really being inspired, not copying 1:1, it ended in other artist being discouraged to make art and their will to isolate :// it's so dumb in my opinion

Anyways, I can clearly see who You got inspired on, it doesn't look like the same style but it might go into this direction

Hello! I hope my message won't be misinterpreted. This is my opinion and mine alone

I don't think you're being criticized for stealing another artist's drawings and works, but rather for your obvious inspiration

Being inspired by another artist isn't a bad thing, it's being inspired to the point of appropriating someone else's art that's a problem. You're taking on someone else's artistic identity, and that's what you're most criticized for.

Everyone's inspired by everyone else, but there are limits to inspiration, and this just looks like artistic appropriation (maybe even plagiarism).

and if I were in the position of the person you're taking inspiration from, it would make me very uncomfortable

I hope you understand this point of view and that you'll be able to admit your mistakes <3 have a good day/evening
