Stanford Rottman — Description

Detective Stanford Peabody Rottman, an anthropomorphic bloodhound, is one of the strangest figures patrolling the streets of Dart City. One fateful night, a car struck him, ending his life. Three weeks later, it was discovered that his grave had been dug up and his body was missing. While patrolling Highway 5 near Bilby Avenue, officers encountered their former detective shambling along the roadside.
Detective Rottman is far from fully alive. He is a corporeal undead being, though neither a mindless, flesh-eating zombie nor a bloodthirsty vampire. He does, however, carry a terrible odor that persists no matter how much he bathes, attracting insects—especially flies and gnats. He can still eat, but cannot digest food; after chewing and swallowing, he simply vomits it back up. He is also unable to sleep.
Rottman can recover from catastrophic injuries, cannot age any further, and is unaffected by disease. Even a gunshot to the head cannot kill him. His heart does not beat, and his brain shows no signs of activity, suggesting that something else is keeping him here. He also possesses a newfound form of abnormal strength, allowing him to physically overpower larger anthromorphs.
Unfortunately because he was fully registered dead, he couldn't get his job back, but he was in luck. Bounties have started being placed on the heads of serial killers and high value criminals. If Stanford could no longer nail them on the force, he could nail them as a bounty hunter. Besides, he needed money to get back on his feet. Ever since then, Stanford Rottman has been pursuing heinous and bizarre criminals. But he believes in being a detective first, and a bounty hunter second.
