It is such an honor to do an entry for Miyazaki Hayao film contest. I can't wait to watch this movie, but I'm sad that its his last. I've grown up in Japan watching his films and I love his work. He is so great at expressing his thoughts and beliefs about the world and expressing it through his beautiful movies. I'm gonna miss him and his creations.
Hopefully I could watch it in the original form, which is in Japanese.
Don't worry I live in America, I'm half Japanese half American, I have been living in America for 16 years now.

After browsing the entries for The Wind Rises contest on a whim your image caught my eye and I must say this one is the most outstanding. So outstanding that I caught myself staring at it for two minutes straight after I clicked on it (I keep scrolling up as I write this to look at it. ^_^)
Its simplicity was what struck me the most. Just from this simple image I get such a strong feeling of loneliness, pride, victory, utter and simple joy, and believing in your dreams.
I don't have to words to express fully how I feel about this image. I just don't.
I didn't read what this movie is about and I hardly know the director or any of his movies so I don't know if that is what you were going for here but if you were, you nailed it right on the head.
Simply magnificent. Just amazing.

WOW Thank you so much!!!!!! You are the very first person to notice exactly what I was going for....... I'm amazed by your eyes. I hope my art could be part of Ghibli's studio in Japan. I love Ghibli sooo much, I had the main theme song of this movie in my head when I drew this and from the trailers I saw.
