Present day: Working in a company that focuses on providing safety to Cybertronians in space. This includes traveling in the vacuum of space to different planets and their atmosphere and everything included.

He may not have the most purest intentions with his doing on the field of science when not working officially, but such is life. Some win, some lose, and everything between. Valance is the bot who'd do the questionable when needed, morals be damned when it's for the 'greater good'. Even if that good is adjusting the company's products into different ones and selling them for profit, or rather potent drugs for sale, or someone requires poisoning, or perhaps find a better use for spare parts, or whole bots. Hobbies include driving other bots up the walls with personal questions. The more uncomfortable, the better.

Past: Despite his looks he's trained to boot thanks to belonging to captain Hexaray's army during the war. His original purpose was to find the most efficient ways to repurpose a conquered planet. It didn't matter if it was in the middle of said conquest, or after, he'd get the job done to his best abilities. During one failed mission Valance got exposed to what it really feels like to live in despair, hopelessness, minimum energon rations, comrades dying, frame barely functioning, not able to do your job, you name it, without means of an escape. Not until a decade later they'd get out of there, barely. He continued to serve under Hexaray until the Decepticons lost the war.

May or may not have have deeper feelings towards his former captain.
