There are a number of potentially good reasons she could trot out.
1) Needed time to adjust to her new form
2) Was holding off in hopes cure would be found before resuming dating
3) Worried about compatibility if trying to date a non-centaur
4) Worried about the more limited prospects having to date another centaur may bring
5) Doesn't want to be type cast into whatever role may be emerging for centaurs in society like her sisters role as a Disney princess
6) As centaurs wear no pants worried her eyes may wander or her dates may
7) Unsure she is ready for where such a relationship may go physically now that her lower half is that of a horse (either how it works with the new form or whether she will give birth to a centuar or a horse worry perhaps, have it been established if new hybrids from mixed pairings or if only possible to have children with like has been established?)

After eight months, "need time to adjust" and "holding off in hopes cure will be found quickly" are just excuses. And all those other excuses are of the "won't find out unless you try" type.

I've said before that the storyline plays out at a rate of roughly one month per chapter. There actually is a canonical written timeline for it (give or take some time-travel shenanigans), and it goes well past the current point.

Chloe's character sheet says she weighs 650 pounds. But also, the math likely doesn't add up just looking at her proportions, and she was probably not putting her whole weight on the scale. She's probably quite a bit more than her claimed 300 kg — but all that's to say that she's likely closer to half a ton than to an actual ton 😅

oh yea, I see that now, a normal horse weight about 500kg, so only half of what I was expecting, depending on whether she is half Arabian, Warmblood or Saddle Horse.
I think she's a Saddle Horse.
Xia on the other hand, what is she 18 meters or so? that will likely put her in the ton section

Zia's snake half is 20'3", or ~6.17 meters. That doesn't include about another 28" (~0.71 meters) of human, though, so if she were laying down, she'd likely be around ~6.88 meters total from the top of her head to the tip of her tail. You can decide for yourself whether she's telling the truth when she says she weighs 350 pounds (~158.7 kg).

and I wouldn't be so cruel as to put her on a scale, but even if she is only 1/3 as long as I expected, and I was thinking of a marilith on another cartoon series, she is likely still at least comparable to Chloe's 500kg
I think she can best be compared to a saltwater crocodile. I was mistaken before, its average weight is not 2 tons, that is its record weight, but at 6 meters long these critters weight about a ton on average, so i would still put her weight around that figure, maybe a little less.
