whoops, the "previous" link on this page goes all the way back to June of '22. ^^;;

As I've said so many times before, the links have to be manually updated every single post day, and that can only be done after the comic has automatically been posted.  I have to go in and edit every link, forward and backward, explicitly every single time:  DA has no direct support for webcomics like this, and I've been simply hacking it for the last four years.  So if the latest comic or two have broken links, that's because I haven't had the time to get to them yet.  I usually am quite aware of when the links on the latest comics are wrong, because I haven't done them yet.  Y'all really don't need to keep pointing it out >_>

Oh, okay. So how long should I give it to be sure it's actually "forgotten" and not just "haven't gotten to it yet"? Like a week? Two?

Two or three weeks. Sometimes life gets really busy and I have to rely pretty heavily on automatic posting. If you’ve seen like three comics up and the links are still broken, just gently nudge me with a Note that I need to remember to update them.

"What I meant was the audience didn't get a warning or explanation that Lily was going to appear, so some of them were confused about what was happening. (I don't think anyone was upset, just wondering what was going on.)"

You weren’t the only one. There’s a reason this made the “frequently asked” list.

And I was just offering something Chloe might say. (Me? You could have the Kool-Aid Man come through a wall and I'd take it in stride. I don't consider this a comic with tight continuity.)

Actually, I work really hard during the main chapters to make sure the continuity is really precise. Throwaway stuff is always throwaway stuff, but the canon is canon, and I have an endless pile of notes to make sure I get every last detail right, and I rewrite the scripts dozens of times until they're just the right mix of comedy and drama and character growth and worldbuilding. (I've had times where I've even agonized for hours over whether I should use a comma or an em dash.) I go back and reread every posted chapter multiple times while I'm working on the next chapter just to make sure I didn't get even the tiniest detail wrong.

The art style may scream "newspaper comic page!" but the story is anything but.

That appearance of Lily in chapter 4 was planned for months and months and months before you saw her. (I really love still how much character development and worldbuilding are squeezed into a mere two panels on that page!) If you reread "Me, Myself, and Yikes" knowing Chloe Two is bi, there are very subtle hints throughout that she was at least not playing on Team Straight, even if it wasn't quite obvious which team she was on — nothing in that chapter was an accident or spur-of-the-moment.

So this comic was mostly about clarifying beyond any doubt that yes, Chloe Two is on Team Bi, and yes, Lily is her girlfriend, and yes, they have a long-term relationship, and yes, all of those facts are canon. It may have surprised the audience a bit, but really, had it been a guy in Chloe Two's bed, would anybody have thought twice about seeing her in a relationship? They'd have just said, "Oh, I guess she has a boyfriend." It's only notable because there's a double standard, and Chloe Two has every right to be slightly irritable about it here.

Love Lily's shirt.  Nice small details there.

Uh...  it's been going consistently every Sunday for 10 months now.  I'm almost at the stage where I really need to take a break again 😅

I understand. I remember being happy to see it 10 months ago. I'll be happy to see it if it stops and starts again.

Looks like Chloe has less issues with foot-in-mouth syndrome with double the amount of feet as usual. >.>

Chloe, you REALLY need to think before you speak.

Also, Two, I think you need to look a little deeper into Chloe's words.
