Interesting question, at this point just how long have they been transformed? Even in a hot market, selling and moving takes a little time. Even the fabled Imagineers of Disney would need a few weeks to create Lynn an apartment, or should that be indoor pool?

As a general rule, I go by about a month per chapter. There’s decent-sized gaps in between each major story where there’s not much to say: They go to work, come home, buy groceries, pay bills, watch TV. Chapter 1 is spread out over a month or so. The rest are shorter durations, but with decent chunks of time in between them, sometimes populated with occasional bits of extra story (like Chloe’s continuing adventures with Priscilla).
So I figure Lynne had plenty of time before this to get used to being a mermaid, get discovered and hired by Disney, move to another apartment in her apartment complex, and soberly realize that her new job and big paycheck is no substitute for being able to walk.

Well, hopefully Mickey will set his minions on getting her a proper dwelling. She can't keep living in the Finding Nemo lagoon. (In joke there for die hard Disney Fans).
Can't imagine what the transformation must have done to some of the "reality" shows and news. But gameshows, sitcoms and the like are usually filmed months in advance so they should be ok.

Reality shows manage to make something out of nothing anyway. I’m sure they’re fine, and either have a “no mutants” rule or are something like “The Search for America’s Strangest Monster.” The news is the news everywhere: If it bleeds, it leads.
No doubt Hollywood finds ways to adapt regardless. Which, again, is sort of the point of Day Two: It’s about how people actually adapt to this. There’s likely a TV producer somewhere pitching sitcoms like “Fish Out of Water” or “Nothing But Furries,” and they’re probably just as bad as every other sitcom you’ve seen, just with slightly different themes.

Now that's scarry. I'm not even sure the Day Two cast is ready for America's Got Monsters.
But could be fun to see a "screen" next time one of the girls has some TV time

Lynne is beauty in her state, but she think anout herself as human instead of mermaid. That's cause her a lot of pain.

You could make the same case with Chloe though.

Zoloft is a well-known brand of antidepressant, which contains the generic drug sertraline. It is commonly prescribed to people who have some form of clinical depression.
Xanax is a well-known brand of antianxiety medication, which contains the generic drug alprazolam. It is commonly prescribed to people with an anxiety disorder.
Both drugs are typically available by a doctor’s prescription in most countries, often under different brand names.

I recall quite clearly Chloe hates the entire thing on principle. Even without extra legs, bulky bulk, and broken beds, she'd be incredibly pissed, the real tangible inconveniences adds fuel to the fire. Looking like an elf or having wings on her back but nothing more or less for what we can see would anger her plenty, and attempting the shear them off is certainly in character for her.
What we have seen of Lynne, and profile, the lack of mobility alone is the only thing setting her off. The fantastical being made real does not bother her as much, and she seems capable of accepting it, given it provides her with work she loves, and isn't the kind who'd mutilate herself in the name of normalcy. Lest we forget the kind of desperation Chloe has shown in the past, the ordinarily logical one will throw all caution to the wind and put her personal safety on the line merely to have pure human shape without aberration of the slightest.
The only place Zia has ever been shown to act more rationally than Chole.

Chloe's more complicated than she looks. Really, she's wound tight as a top (see also: the very first page); and obsessively being as "boring" and "normal" as possible was always how she avoided anxiety. Then one day she turned into a horse, and her roommate turned into a snake, and there are giant purple portals in the sky over every major city, and "boring" and "normal" weren't options anymore no matter how badly she needed them to be...

Not to mention that thing that ate all her spare towels in the closet.
Doesn't even pay its share of the rent.

I really feel like I should’ve replied last week with:
“Is there some kind of a problem with the Earth’s gravitational pull!?” 😁

That's pretty much the entire point of Day Two. Anybody can do "day one," when you're first transformed and it's all terrifying or joyful or both. Day Two is all about what happens afterward, when it really sets in that this is life now. Do you accept it? Do you despise it? Do you suffer through it? Does it leave you with PTSD? Do you cope? Do you get help? Do you cope in bad ways like drugs or alcohol? Everyone's reaction and ways of dealing with it will be different, and all of that is far more interesting and meaningful than what happens on the first day.

Wow.... :" (.... sigh.. well, it is hard to imagine their pain... BUT (erh, however... sorry Chloe)... well, it is good that they have common ground to bond and reconcile.
