Overflight — Description

A frontline defense ship passes over wetlands on route to its base on the coast. This Ilych Class heavy fighter performs mainly atmospheric missions, but can enter orbit for engagement. It has wing-mounted air breathing engines and an axial thruster for orbital trajectories. Because of its versatility, this ship has extended range and speed to cover the territory of an entire planet. Its armament is two ion cannons on the front pylons. Forward canards give it enhanced maneuverability. The central mechanism between the pylons is a class 1 energy generator that powers the weapons, shields and ship systems.
Looking at the ship's layout, you can see how it was inspired by a humble nut cracker! The ship scene was modeled and rendered by me in Blender.
