Hamlet II-Gertrude — Description
this is a costume from the other half of my hamlet project (the design scenes were part I) and this is Gertrude, the whore-queen. my central theme was gothic/midevil, i wanted it to look so goth it looked futuristic in a way. all the characters had a color assigned to them (mostly because i designed the sets in the same way) and an accompanying black for accents. Gertrude was purple/reddish-pinkish for royalty, beauty, and because red is a seductive (whoreish) color.

bet you can tell i really hate gertrude? because i do. shes just a whore!

anyway, sorry for the bad quality. my scanner is still being a bitch. i wish you could see more of the painted display board! it looks like a cool, gothic frame
