Behind Dust Devil's standoffish appearance and terrifying threats lie a shy and insecure schoolfilly. She was born with stunted wings and paralyzed back legs, which make it hard for her parents to relate to her (as they are both incredible fliers, they don't really know what to do with her). When she struggled to make friends at school, she resorted to picking on others to make herself feel stronger. Deep down, she wants someone who can see past her physical disabilities and truly get to know her for who she is.
