Description
This Horrortale takes place after a Soulless Neutral Run, because Frisk has absolutely ERASED everything at least once and given her soul over to Chara. But with the passage of time, Chara's influence on her soul has waned. Chara went back to rest (not necessarily at peace, but at least resting) since with the major spurts of Determination gone, there's nothing much to latch onto. Since the combination of Chara and Frisk's Determination make up the RESET power from inside the game, if the Player were to pick up the game again, they'd have to start up a new game with a new world, new timeline, new Frisk. This Frisk is free.And no, going back or closer to the mountain would not have caused a RESET, but there's no way Frisk would have known that. She didn't want to take any chances.
