I use anti-pill fleece and/or blizzard fleece for the body and stuff, and felt for the fur. fleece is 7-10$ a yard at Joanns, depending on what patterns and kind you get, and the felt can be bought in squares for 29 cents each at Micheals or Joanns.
I used a full square/rectangle of felt of each color (white and blue) so like 60 cents, and probably a quarter yard for the body, maybe a little more. So you're looking at 3.50-6$ from start to finish in material? though if you want buttons too they're in backs of 50ish for about 5$ i think, or smaller packs too but I've never bought a smaller one so I'm not too sure. Though I didn't actually buy anything for this, I had everything laying around.
