Frida 2000 — Description

Look what I found in a large flat box 📦 of my artwork 🖼️ through the years… More like a portfolio 💼 of my lifetime!

I painted this VERY BEAUTIFUL 🤩 Frida Kahlo in my 3rd period Art 🎨 class with my teacher turned best friend Julia Bengfort Mobasseri ❤️Colors are still VIBRANT ✨✨✨✨

Her project was to combine two different paintings and give them a modern look…We checked out books from the library 📚 for ideas 💡 I quickly made up my mind and did my favorite Mexican painter 🇲🇽 with a Picasso style cubism… I loved it, she loved it 😍 so much she displayed it in the student art show. This was finished by March 29, 2000… two days after my big 18 birthday 🎂 Smiling and crying at the same time 🥲😀

I remember she gave me a journal 📓 on my last day of school and I picked up all my art projects from her. This is about 12 by 17 1/2” 📏
