It's been a long and arduous journey for me to to complete this sketch. Not to mention it's a bit of a milestone as well; you see, this drawing is the final colored work from my journal entry, "Previews Galore Part 3A", seen here: fav.me/dca0upq , which I posted way back in the Spring of 2018. At the time, I was certain that come the Fall of 2018, I was going to be done with every single piece in that Journal Entry. Unfortunately, time makes fools of us all. Nevertheless, here we are, a little behind schedule, but done.Why did it take so long? Mostly procrastination, plus bouts of mental illness, and off and on creative dry-spells over the past eight months that have been more than a little frustrating. Never one to be discouraged, on the night of 3/14/2019 I sat myself down and decided to get to work and I polished this baby off before lunch time on 3/15/2019.

Looks like the Blonde not got much left and the Black chick knows it. With that black-eye shina' slowly puffing up. The Blonde's not looking forward to anymore socks to her eye. I intended to give her a look of disgust; as if she were thinking "To think they put you in the ring with me!". But I guess it doesn't matter; you got that she's none to pleased with boxing this jobber. And that's what's most important.

Thank you! I considered having her hands down, but from a logical standpoint, I couldn't justify why a fighter would have their hands down in the middle of a match. Yes, I could have let viewers assume she was punch-drunk and on the verge of being knocked out, but her facial expression looks more pained than dazed, so I decided to draw her gloves partially up, in a half-hearted effort to defend herself.

I getcha - makes sense, she’s not been knocked loopy,more just had the crap beaten out of her, which means she’s still got some energy left to keep her gloves up... but it ain’t much
