Unlike ordinary plasma weapons, the flamethrower compresses the plasma and doesn't use an electromagnetic field to control the trajectory or blooming. The plasma emerges in a long-range fluid stream and expands violently, just like a modern flamethrower. The dual tanks allow for 20 seconds of fire or four incendiary impact grenades.
