Study Break — Description

Maria had meant to study for another hour; just one more pass through her notes on distributed systems before the exam, but the afternoon sun pouring through the open windows was impossibly warm, and somewhere between one page and the next she drifted asleep on the couch, naked beneath that beautiful tropical light.
She never saw the snake slip through the open patio door, never heard its scales whisper over the tile, and woke only when something cold and impossibly strong cinched around her legs. Her gasp became a choke as the coils climbed and tightened, crushing the breath from her faster than panic could make sense of what was happening; the room that had seemed so peaceful seconds before filled with the frantic scrape of heels against the floor, the high clink of a water glass falling from the table, the terrible compression of ribs yielding under so much muscle.
It was brutally, obscenely quick. By the time her laptop dimmed from inactivity, Maria was already disappearing into the animal inch by inch, the snake's jaws working with patient, mechanical certainty until even her desperate movements were gone. Outside, palm leaves stirred lazily in the breeze. Sunlight continued to spill across the abandoned couch, illuminating her half-finished notes and the blinking cursor waiting patiently for a grad student who would never return.

Another old post being re-uploaded.
I'd actually written up a nice one- or two-paragraph dialogue to go with this one, but it was lost with the old DA purge. I did my best to recreate it above, but sadly I'll never replicate it exactly.
I made this one as a standalone concept, mostly in order to experiment specifically with post-render techniques.
I almost always prefer some clothing (underwear, a bikini, etc.) over nudity, but this one just felt like it needed to be nude from the get-go.
