Azurite Geode - Ref — Description

So… this is very late, but I’ll do these when I feel like it from now on. This is for @gemsona-hq ‘s April gemsona monthly challenge prompt. April’s pick was geodes. I asked my followers which geode they preferred, being azurite geode. Azurite Geode’s gemstone looks a lot fancier than how I usually draw my gemstones. I wanted to replicate the texture seen on the geode in the show.
Azurite Geode (she/her) is an aristocrat and manager for terraforming gems (mostly lapis lazulis). She often guides and assists the terraformers with her own hydrokinesis and usually works beneath the oceans of various planets. Azurite Geode had fallen in love with the unique ecosystems of each planet she’s assigned to. However, she often grieves at its eventual demise when the gem colony is complete. She knows there is nothing she could do about it, which made her grow ever more melancholic. That was until she was sent to Earth. She had met Rose Quartz, leader of the Crystal Gems, and together created a system for defected gems. While pretending to remain loyal to the Diamond Authority, Azurite Geode, her pearl Blue Mussel Pearl (aka BMP: they/them), and a lapis lazuli (who I like to call Nosuli) help gems escape safely to a Crystal Gem camp by traveling at the bottom of the sea floor. This continued until the end of the gem war. Seeing the corrupting light approaching, she shields BMP and protected them. Unfortunately, Azurite Geode takes the blow herself and corrupts into a giant sea snail monster. Not knowing what to do, BMP runs away from their former friend. They still roam the Earth, trying to find a way to keep Azurite Geode safe from herself and others. So far, BMP hasn’t been able to capture her successfully and is hoping to look for help. They currently reside in Empire City hoping to learn how to fight from watching boxing matches.
