So i redesigned The Mimics.. — Description

Hey, its been awhile..

Lately, school has been a hassle like usual, and i finally got the time to get in touch with the very creation that emabrked me on this project.
The Whisperer which im still calling 'em are the first ever Neocarnis i've ever created, and that was originally a little experiment where what if an Adolescent Mimic never gets to see a human, but keeps on eating other animals.
After that, the rest is [ongoing] history. Thanks for that pal~
The Mimics & Whisperers
The Imitodae are a family of Carnis that are born in such a way that the very DNA that they consume gets integrated into their very own bodies. In other words; "They are what they eat".
The Imitodae are split into 2 Major Categories. These include the Mimics & the Whisperers, or by the more official term; Urban & Feral.
Despite being from the same origin, their diets make them completely different species. This makes them both in constant wars over territory disputes, and embark them on an evolutionary arms race.
The way it works is simply by where the baby Imitodae will be born at. If its born in an urban area, then i'tll become a Mimic. If its born in a more uncivilized area, then it'll become a Whisperer.
The Mimics are distinguished by their unusually humanoid body as their diet [adults atleast] consists entirely of human meat. Meanwhile Whisperers hunt other animals, though they dont mind munching on a human now and then. Though this is very rare.
Both groups are highly specialized for their exact habitats. Adult Mimic's [My Headcannon btw] have a form of Cleidocranial dysplasia located only on their collarbones [A]. This doesn't affect them negatively as it gives them the ability to fold their shoulders so that they can hide in very small spaces despite their size. Small spaces include furniture, mannequin's and even in your own pile of laundry if you have any that is.
The Whisperers in the other hand dont change significantly from their adolescent selves like their Mimic counterparts. Unlike them, these creatures grow into beasts made purely for hunting. Thye have long saber teeth [B.2] with the force of a maximum of 4,500 psi.
Its limbs have lengthened to let it climb steep terrain, and to let it climb trees, though its not recommended as their despite their claws having the ability to retract, their bodies are not adapted for a life in the tree tops, and more for the ground.
Whisperers also display a hump that is supported by long spinal potrusions that are a byproduct of their "mixed-diet". This diet being of different animals that have caused some instability in the Whisperers body, though no clear answer has been found.
A Whisperers Diet is completely dependant on what the Whisperer eats. As of now only 3 Subspecies.. or variants as theyre usually called exist. Theres the Desert Variety (1), The Forest Variety (2), and the Semi-Aquatic Variety (3).
Desert Variety: The smallest, and most nimble of all Whisperer variants. The spines that support its hump are used to disguise itself as a pile of bones when basking. This variant is a scavenger. Meanign that its diet is comprised of mostly carrion.
Forest Variety: Also known as the Elktaur, this variant is the most abundant. This variant is known for its versatility, and the dexterity it still posseses despite half of the fingers on its forelimbs becoming hooves, with the toes on its legs becoming hooves entirely.
Semi-Aquatic Varient: The most popular of them all, this variant altered its hump to also become a large fin, with tis tail elongated drastically to aid in swimming. Its fingers have elongated as to be used in eating benthic feeders like snails, clams, crabs, etc.
Both groups have also been shown to metamorphosized into Elders, where they have an over-abundance of food. So as a comprimise, their bodies evolve to grow more stronger, darker, resilient, and more potent.
This is called "Yerotomorphosis".
NLMR coined the term which is comprised of the Greek word: γεροντότερος (Yorototeros, meaning: elder), and Morphosis from Metamorphosis.
