Description This tutorial is for ,
I finally managed to put it together.

It really isn't easy to do such a tutorial,
I could fill a book about how I shade and why I place this shadow here and that one there,
why which folding is in a special place etc. pp.
but you can't put all that into one tutorial,
and I really don't know where to start and where to end the whole thing.
I tried,
I hope it's helpful to some people.

Feel free to ask if you don't understand certain things or if you wanna know something else.

Hopefully this helps me with creases and shadows, I reaaaally suck at creases. >.<

But I'm better than I was 6 months ago when I drew flat clothing! xD

I really really hope so, too! (:
If you have questions about anything, or about other ways for creases and shadows, feel free to ask. I don't bite (that much).

Question about creases in clothing? xD

I know that you're supposed to draw the crease being pulled towards the body, but... it's still hard for me to draw! D:

And when shirts get tucked into the pants, or pants get tucked into boots, that's hard for me to draw as well...

Best thing to do (always)
Grab the next best person, force them to wear pants and a shirt ( or whatever you wanna draw) and observe.
It's a little hard with alien-like or fantasy clothing, but a simple dress does the trick, too, the rest is up to imagination.

The more often you do that, the easier it gets to start drawing creases without any reference.

Many artist think they just have to do it all by imagination,
but they do it wrong in the end. Just because they were too proud to look at nature.
That's a pity.

(If friends are not available mirrors and cameras are your best friend!)

Well, heres a big thank you! Hug
This was helpful, especially since I can't do shadows too well.
One little thing you could add for using coloured pencils, is to put the highlights in first, using whatever colour your light source is, and then go lightly over them with your base colours.
Aww Now I can get onto colouring a pic I've had lying around. xD
