wouldn't it be awesome that right at the last second, just as violas dad came back (the point when "ellen" in violas body, explains how she will give violas dad her love, then ending with "so..." and violas dad comes)
viola (ellens body) quickly cast a spell to switch the bodies back, so viola ran to her dad, ellen crawls towards violas dad saying "da di" because she remembers that she was never loved by her own dad.
viola's dad shoots ellen, putting her out off her misery (not that he knows that), viola laughs knowing that the one who decived her is dead, the demon cat comes to see ellen dead, so disappears forever.
that would be awsome if that really happened

Usually body transfer is a bit of a long process which she didn't have time for. Maybe let's say her dad arrived early and, listened to their conversation or something. She did talk about the deal and with that dad knew who was the real Viola. Then her dad would threat viola to switch bodies again.
Then again, I think i'm just messing with the story. Anyway, would be very nice to have a good ending. It still nice game anyway.

Personally, I like games that have unexpected twist(s) of some sort. I find it boring if I can predict what happens (and don't people play video games to have fun and not be bored?). On the other hand, most people like emotional endings.... well because they're emotional. Most people like to feel something, whether it be a positive emotion or negative one, but I'm not really an emotional person. Where some people would cry, I'd just shrug (or laugh at them for crying.... I'm not completely heartless...... maybe.......), so keep that in mind for the emotionally-challenged people like me. >.<

many complain about the ending being bad, but think about it this way :
you're playing with the bad character this whole time, and her wish is to keep the body she has, would it be good for her to switch back to her daying body ?
so the game had atleast a good ending, atleast for the character you were controling

in a Cynical story, the main character does not need to be good hearted, it could be an evil person insted, if the witch went back to her old body then she lose = bad for her , Viola simply served as an antagonist , even if shes really the victim , but thats her own fault for trusting the witch in the first place , so yaa, that is why the story was great , your the bad guy/girl all along, and you have to try and get away with your bad deads

This ending was real unexpected and the fact you've been playing as the witch the whole time was a real good twist. It was so sad how Viola was killed by her own father too when she was trying to call out to him. =<

My partner and I, we're still new to the coding but we have a planned class from his brother from ubisoft to help us. Hopefully we get a contact from him soon so we can begin finalizing our current project.
Anyway, thanks for the idea and feedback. I'm suggesting him this. Would be very cool if I get an emotional piece ideas like this game.
