Description
Okay, so this is sorta my first "rant stamp". XDIn case you can't read it (If you can't, PLEASE tell me so I can change the font.) It says, "Being different isn't fun... ...When it means you can't find anyone to relate to."
I'm not really ranting, just sort of expressing something I've been thinking about.
This is not supposed to bash being different. I think it's a good thing to be different, I promise. ;D
AHEM, SO... Reason/whatever for this stamp is BELOW. You don't have to read it if you don't want to, but if you're planning on flaming me for some odd reason, then I suggest you read this first to make sure you have your stuff straight before doing so.
---
Alright, so, "Being different isn't fun... ... When it means you can't find anyone to relate to." This expresses so well how I've been thinking recently.
I have two things about me - traits I'll call them. These two traits are very rare finds in people, at least for me, and I don't really like the fact that... Well... The fact that I can't find them in people. I know it seems like a select few people might wonder, "What? Two traits? Okay, what's the big deal about them? Is it really a big enough deal to make a stamp for? There's tons of rare traits in people and they don't make a big deal about it." Yeah, well these two traits aren't just about things that I don't do/don't like, but they're about things that BOTHER me. I'm sensitive to things, and the sensitivities are the traits I'm talking about. So naturally, if everyone around me likes/does these things (which they do), it starts to bother me after a while unless I have someone who DOESN'T like/do these things to keep me sane so that I feel like I have someone by me who can understand what I'm feeling. (If you want to know what these traits are, you can ask me in the comments section because I don't want to post it in the description. (: )
My point is, I personally like these two things about myself for some reason. I don't see them as "flaws", really, just... Things I'm sensitive to. But it's not fun to be different when I'm so different that I can't find anyone that can help me and understand me and relate to me.
LUCKILY... I do have two close friends. One of them has both of these traits (even though one was partly brought on by me), and the other one has one of these traits. They're my shoulders to lean on. "Well, what's the problem? Why are you ranting about this when you have people to lean on already?" WELL... They literally live on the other side of the United States. I live in the north-east. As for my friends... One of them lives in the north-west, and the other one lives in the south-east. (I know you guys might be reading this, but I'm not giving out your names so don't worry. |P)
So even though I have people to lean on, I don't have people to... LEAN on. And something was brought to my attention today which... Bothered me. And it bothered me more than a normal person (maybe) because it had to do with one of these traits/sensitivities I was talking about. And this was about a friend of mine who lived around my neighborhood. But whether it's true or not, it made me realize that the only friends I have around my neighborhood are slowly parting from me, and one reason might be because of these traits that I have.
So with this stamp, I was just expressing how I wish I had someone around me who made me feel good just because I knew they existed. Because they would be someone who shared both of the traits that I have. Like I said, I already have two friends that can do that first thing, but because they aren't HERE, I just... Haven't been feeling as good, I guess. I want someone to relate to without having to pick up a phone. D: And I can't have that because the two traits I have are so incredibly rare, that if you EVER find someone with both traits (who you know won't "grow out of them") then you're very lucky. And if you EVER find someone with both traits IN MY CITY, then you're EXTREMELY lucky.
-----
NOW. RANT-ISH-THING OVER.
Anyway, someone to relate to, right? Without having to pick up a phone or anything? All I have in that nature are my characters. Specifically one who makes me feel happy. :3 I think I'll make a character stamp next, because this one character of mine is my plan B when no one around me can help out with these things.
Anyway, SORRY FOR THE LONG-BUTT DESCRIPTION!

So true.... I was "different" because I just never interested in the "typical adolescent had, or designer clothes. Only on the Internet I found people ... and even my big love me just as I am sure loves

O_o No, I didn't. Well, I mean, there's always that possibility, but I didn't think about it.
I heard middleschool was pretty ruthless, so I decided to homeschool through it. My mom agreed that middleschool is ruthless.

I agree 100%.
Which is why I haven't changed myself.
I just made this stamp because a friend of mine had done something that made me realize just how different we were - and it was one of those "losing faith in humanity" moments.
To this day I wish I worded the stamp differently. :/

I understand. I mean I'm a tomboy. If you have a group of 100 girls, there will most likely be 1 or 2 other tomboys in the group if there is one.

Natsu714 In reply to WhiteTiger1998 [2012-08-04 01:29:27 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, ditto on that tomboy thing. I take it to a whole other level though, it seems. I'm not active, but I have no girl clothing whatsoever and refuse to wear any for any reason at any time... o_o" Same goes for a few other girly things. I'm just stubborn.
My sister having a wedding? Wants me to be formal? Fantastic. I can be formal without wearing a dress or tight clothing. White button down shirt and nice pants is fine. e_e"
Anywho, I can see how that'd get on your nerves. :C Being a tomboy in a group of girly girls is insane.

Yeah. I mean my friend is a girly-girl. Just go to her page and sometimes I don't understand how we are friends. Yeah for soccer when we have to dress up for away games I usually wear a polo shirt and either black or khaki pants.

Yeah. My style is jeans or shorts and then t-shirts and button-down shirts are cool too and usually converse.. I do not like skirts and dresses.

Natsu714 In reply to WhiteTiger1998 [2012-08-05 20:12:05 +0000 UTC]
Neither do I. The only time you would ever catch me in a skirt or a dress, is if it was absolutely necessary. As in death or torture if I didn't. Or as in if I go to a Japanese high school (it's my dream to go to Japan, so it means a lot. And I wanna experience high school in Japan... I'm just hoping I get in one of the very very very very very few schools that doesn't make girls wear skirts. >____<"")
But those are literally the situations. Other than those, I would never wear anything like that willingly. Ever. For anyone. Ever. e_e"
(Or a friend of mine forces me into one or begs me, but even if they did, the most I would do is wear it for barely a minute in a private room with no one around... And I don't think I'd even do that much really...)
