Hydra — Description
So, what can I say about this dragon of mine… First I should make one thing clear. My niece said it would look soo much better if it had eyes. But you see those red shiny things? Yeah. Eyes. Little peeved? Me? Of course.

About the creature:
My hydra lives in caves he digs hollows out in mountains. He makes small holes through the wall so that when someone walks by, snappity-snap! You’re eaten. Just like the wee little person my hydra is currently chewing on If you look at Ebon’s (that’s the hydra) feet, they aren’t all that dangerous-looking. The front he uses to dig out from the rock and the back one’s are to keep balance. The top of his body is hard armour to protect him from falling rocks. His eyes can also see in the dark without problem. Since he has so many of them, he has no blind spot open for attack. Though, in the light things take a different turn. He can't see very well in it at all. He detects his prey by smelling them and feeling their movements on the rock. He can detect vibrations, but he can’t hear. If you don’t count their snapping jaws, their main weapon is their tail, but they very, very seldom use it since not many things want to attack this little babe.

Another thing about Ebon is that these hydras are both male and female. That way they don’t need to seek out a counterpart to mate with. Throughout their lives they carry one egg beneath the hard armour on their back. When they die, the egg hatches and breaks it way free from the decaying body.
