Description A light desktop for a change.

Featuring Simplify 10 Light desktop theme from dpcdpc11 , QTTabBar custom side bar, Lumicons 7bps icon pack for system, dock and QTTabBar. Also this time I tried ObjectDock instead of RocketDock, but either of both will do.

You can complement the look by using Numix Light windows cursor.

Now a little help with QTTabBar if you want it to look like mine.
  • Download both QTTabBar ver 1038 and QTTabBar ver 1040 (2019-3-24)
  • Install 1038 then update it with 1040.
  • Logoff an logon again.
    • Optional: If you use ONE (OldNewExplorer) open it and temporally disable all Appearance options, close your explorer windows.
    • Now open an explorer window and go to View tab, disable Navigation Pane, close all explorer windows, now activate all your Appearance option again. Reopen Explorer.
  • Press Alt and go to View > Explorer Bar and activate QT command bar (vertical).
  • You can use the default icons layout if they work fine for you or you can delete them all and add your own custom folders and menus.
  • You can set a desired icon size by holding Ctrl +mouse wheel to change the size.
  • After you install QTTabBar your folders menu will open with Alt+M instead of Alt.

How to add custom menus? We will use our Library as an example.

  • Right click in the QT command bar and select Add Element>>Create new.
  • Write a name.
  • In Type of command select File & Folder.
  • In Type of Button select Split Button.
  • Icon Path, go and search your custom icon.
  • Associated View must be Not Specified.
  • On File command tab the Path must be ::{031E4825-7B94-4DC3-B131-E946B44C8DD5} (this is automatically generated by the default tab layout)
  • On Details tab "Allow file drop to this item" option must be selected and "Expand files in this folder instead of Child Items" must be deselected.
  • OPTIONAL: Expand files... option is selected in case you want to use the default menu layout, deselect in case you want to create your own custom menu in the Child Items tab.
  • Go to Child Item tab and press the + button.
  • The new windows is similar to our previous main menu but in this case we will use the No sub menu option for Sub Menu.
  • Display text and Display icon must be activated.
  • On Path option enter or search the path for the folder you want to add.
  • Repeat 9 to 12 for any additional item you want for this particular button.
  • Repeat 1 to 12 for any additional button you want in your vertical QT bar, change the path.
  • If you just want to add a folder (software, wallpapers, etc) drag and drop it to your QT vertical bar, then right click it and go to Edit option, there you can customize your icon and name and the way you want to use it. By default it will open all subfolders as a new element in the menu, but changing Sub menu option from Expand to No sub menu will change subfolder behavior.

This took longer than anticipated... I hope this help you guys.
