MLP OC - Spring Showers — Description
A Pegasus mare originally from Trottingham, Spring Showers as a baby moved to Cloudsdale with her parents, Autumn Gold and Cassiope. Autumn Gold became a post pony whilst Cassiope got a job at the Weather Factory. They cared deeply for their daughter but were very anxious about any possible dangers on the ground, being more comfortable with their new ground-free life in Cloudsdale.
Spring Showers has a rather neurotic personality akin to Woody Allen characters. When in a nervous state, her blabbering and oftentimes snarky side comes out. She also has a tendency to be a little picky. In spite of this, however, she is a very friendly Pegasus and has a pretty rebellious side, particularly when disobeying her parents’ orders about not going near the ground. When Spring Showers was a young adult, she came across a wide variety of creatures in the Everfree Forest which eventually led her to meet Fluttershy outside her cottage.

Ever since that day, she explored more of Ponyville with her new friend and gained a huge love of animals. Fluttershy even helped her to gradually overcome her neurosis. And after many conversations with her parents, they finally agreed to let her pursue her new passion. Spring Showers got a job as assistant vet at Doctor Fauna’s animal clinic, getting the most joy out of tending to the monkeys and rabbits. It was there that she even met her now-husband, Brush Stroke, an outgoing and somewhat paranoid artist who brought in his sick dog Vincent for a check-up. They now live in Ponyville together with their son and daughter, Light Rain and Flora.

Aside from tending to animals, Spring Showers also gained a love of bird-watching during her time in Ponyville, her favourites in particular being toucans and owls. When she’s not at her job at the vet, she likes to do sculpting, solve puzzles and even play a little tennis in her spare time. Her favourite fruits to keep her healthy include cherries and bananas.

Despite being an animal lover, Spring Showers has a severe case of lactose intolerance. While Fluttershy might have introduced her to the wonders of Ponyville as well as ground activities in general, she draws the line at ice skating thanks to a painful fall on her butt. She also despises circuses, partly due to not finding them all that funny, but it’s the ones that use animals in their acts she really can’t stand. And although she’s a Pegasus, ever since a pair of reckless colts got her caught in a tornado at flight school when she was a filly, she has had a crippling fear of them since.

Regardless of these pet peeves (pun intended), Spring Showers is a pony who cares endlessly for her job and her family.
