Dark Sonic - Textless Version — Description
Bearer of the curse, seek rings. Larger, more powerful rings. Seek the Eggman, that is the only way. Lest this land swallow you whole, as it has so many others.

This is one of two images in a set I'd like to call Dark Sonic, a Dark Souls-inspired scene.
This is an alternative version of my "Dark Sonic" deviation where the "Checkpoint Activated" text isn't covering up the centre of it, allowing you to see what's behind it: a line gradient and the same fire graphic as on the bonfire. The graphic for it is custom, by the way, using the original font for reference. It's called Optimus Princeps and can be easily found through Google.

I'd like to give special thanks to my friend Dolphman here, who helped me in making this by editing a Sonic 3 sprite, as ripped by The Observer. Additional sprites come from SonicDash57 and his rip of Hydrocity Zone, along with Marble Zone ripped by Divine Insect, Castlevania Bloodlines assets by BadBatMan3 and Mega Man: The Wily Wars graphics I ripped myself once.
